System Requirements

  • Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone Edition device running at least Windows Mobile 2003 and up such as WM2003SE, WM5 for Pocket PC/Phone.
  • Minimum RAM: 9 MB (Recommended: 12 MB) free runtime memory / PDA main memory and not storage card memory space.
  • A free slot for the OCN6 memory card (supports either SD / miniSD / microSD)
  • NMEA compatible GPS Device. A GPS (bluetooth) receiver in order to run our software, if your device does not have a built in GPS receiver.
  • Not Supported: Microsoft WM5 Smartphone such as Cingular 2125, Motorola Q, Samsung BlackJack, etc.
  • Not Supported: Palm OS handhelds, iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian OS.
  • Important Note: Important! Please, be advised that the software runs only on the original memory card. Do not attempt to copy it to any other memory card, as it may cause serious damages. However, we recommand that you make a backup copy of the software on your computer.

Introduction to GPS:

GPS is a satellite-supported system, developed in the USA, for the precise determination of position on the Earth's surface. The exact position on Earth (longitude and latitude) is calculated by means of the precise measurement of the time it takes for a signal to be transmitted between satellites in outer space and the GPS receiver on Earth. By 2004, there were 50 GPS satellites in orbit around the Earth, of which 24 are in permanent use. When the radio signal from four or more satellites is received simultaneously, an exact three-dimensional position can be obtained, which achieves an accuracy of about 10 meters under optimum conditions.
